David Burnett
President
David retired in 1997 from the City of Kenai Fire Department after 27yrs of dedicated service.
During his tenure David was instrumental in the implementation of the Learn Not to Burn Curriculum into the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District during the early 1980’s.
David was also instrumental in the development of the Alaska Association of Arson Investigators, as well as the Alaska Association of Public Educators.
During his career in the fire service, he came up through the ranks of Engineer, Lieu tent, Captain, Fire Marshal, Asst. Fire Chief and the last nine years in service as the Fire Chief.
During his tenure as Fire Chief he was instrumental in a reduction of the City’s Insurance Rating (ISO) from a five to a three rating, brought the department into the computer age, upgraded apparatus as needed, as well as personnel. Was part of a team effort to develope and locate funding as well as design the Alaska Regional Aircraft Fire Training Center known today as Beacon OHSS Training Center. The last nine years David was the Program Manager of the center.
Now its time to move on, I look forward to continuing to bring all of Industry the professionalism and dedication to the field of Health and Safety, along with the highest quality of instructors available.
I firmly believe, Alaska has the expertise within the State to deliver the quality of training that will supercede any other program in the lower 48.

Barry Clark
Anchorage Operations
Barry Clark is a 21 year veteran of the Fire Service. Beginning in 1986 training for the USAF as a Fire Protection Specialist working his way up the ranks and still currently serving with the Alaska Air National Guard as an assistant chief of operations and in charge of structural fire training. Serving with the Air National Guard he has provided fire protection and fire protection training around the world serving as liaison for the USAF with other countries providing instruction to fire service organizations abroad during multi national exercises and most recently providing training of Iraqi firefighters while deployed to Northern Iraq in 2005.
As a career firefighter working for the State of Alaska from 1990-1995 Barry worked as a Crash Rescue Specialist providing fire protection/ crash rescue and training for airport fire fighters and fire departments statewide in both Crash Fire Rescue/Emergency Response along Hazardous Materials Response training.
In 1995 Barry came to work for the Anchorage Fire Department again working through the ranks and currently a Captain working out of the Spenard Fire Station. As a career firefighter with the Anchorage Fire Department Barry has instructed firefighters state wide in the all aspects of fire and emergency response training in the areas of beginning firefighting, advanced firefighting, apparatus engineer, fire officer, command and control, tactics and strategies, Incident Command, Hazardous Materials Response, and confined space.
Barry has been gained certification as a fire service and emergency response instructor through Department of Defense (DOD), International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), State of Alaska and the United Sates Air Force. He has been instructing for over 15 years. Barry has a wide and diverse back ground in the fire and emergency services and his laid back student oriented learning teaching style is known state wide and he looks forward to continuing to bring you the professional high caliber vocation training he has become known for.
