Hazardous MaterialsTechnician,
Cook Inlet Training Standards "CITS"
(24 Hours)
This course includes individuals who respond to hazardous substance releases for the purpose of stopping it and approach the point of release in order to plug, patch, or otherwise stop it.
Annual Refresher: 8 hours
Prerequisites: None
Hazardous: Routine/General Site Worker (40 Hour Bridge) (New)
We now offer the OSHA bridge class. Students will get the 16hr Petrochemical Health & Safety and Cook Inlet Training Standards card as well as the 40hr Hazwoper training card with two days of extra training.
Annual Refresher: 8hrs
Prerequisites: Cook Inlet Training Standards (CITS)
Hazardous Materials Transportation Training
(USDOT-49CFR Parts 171-180):
Employees who work in shipping, receiving, or material handling areas or who are involved in preparing or
transporting hazardous materials over the road, rail, water or air are required to receive this training to ensure the protection of people and the environment. International Aviation Transportation Association (IATA) training is also provided. The new Homeland Security information is also covered in both the initial and retraining programs.
Initial Training - 16 hours for road, rail, and sea transportation
Initial Training - 8 hours for air transportation only
Initial Training Combined - 24 hours for all modes of transportation
Annual Refresher Combined - 12 hours for all modes of transportation (every 2 years)
Confined Space Entry & SCBA (4 Hours)
Employees who must enter permit-required confined spaces are required to have training as specified in OSHA's "Permit-Required Confined Spaces" Standard (29 CFR 1910.146). This course covers all training elements of the entrant, attendant, and authorized individual. These elements include confined space hazards, modes of transmissions, signs of symptoms, and consequences of exposure. This course also covers use of equipment, hazard control, the importance of communication, self-rescue techniques, behavioral effects of exposure, atmospheric monitoring, alerting, and reporting procedures, and permit systems requirements.

Confined Space Rescue (24 Hour)
This course provides the student training in basic rescue techniques, and provides an introduction to Confined Space Rescue to include rescue from heights or lower levels. This course includes information on rescue ropes and hardware, rescue knots, confined space problems, rigging and anchor points, lowers, mechanical advantage systems. Personnel will be trained on projects designed to represent confined space and rescue problems typical in refineries, chemical plants, and other industries
Hazwoper: Routine/General Site Worker (40 Hours)
This course includes workers engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities that expose them to hazardous substances and health hazards.
Annual Refresher: 8 hours
Prerequisites: None
Hazwoper: Routine Site Workers (24 Hours)
This course includes workers engaged in hazardous substance activities where exposures are under the
Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL), where respirators are not necessary, and there are no indications of health hazards.
Annual Refresher: 8 hours

This class meets all the requirements set by the US Coast Guard and OSHA. Whether you are involved in the oil industry, commercial fishing, construction, or any other field that requires first aid and CPR training, this class provides the required annual or biannual training you need. Two-year certification. (Pediatrics is included upon request.)

Blood borne Pathogens Training (8 Hours)
This course provides information to reduce the risks of occupational exposures to blood and other potentially infectious materials. NOTE: The training must also cover the elements contained in the facility's Exposure Control Plan (ECP) and must be provided prior to training so that it can be properly reviewed during this course. Annual Refresher: 4 hours

NIMS Incident Command Systems:
This course meets the needs of responders and managers with responsibilities to use, deploy, implement and /or function within an Incident Command System. This program addresses the need for incident management systems, overview of the structure and expanded nature of ICS, understanding of the command skills needed by an individual to effectively use ICS guidelines, and scenario practice on how to apply ICS. The course is designed in two-day increments over a two-week period. The course will consist of introduction to ICS, Command, Operations, Planning, Logistics, and Finance.
